Ask / Seek / Knock

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”  – Matthew 7:7

These words from Jesus, found in the New Testament, were a godsend to me when I first started seeking in junior high school.  I latched upon them as if they were a lodestone.  And they were.  I was led to reading after reading that opened my mind and heart to new insight.  The way seemed much clearer when I reminded myself of these words.

These words are actually a restatement of the law of attraction as it relates to ultimate truths.  We are promised that we will find, when we seek, and this finding is attracted to us by the little willingness that we exhibit.  A Course in Miracles says that all that we need is a little willingness.  God is able to take that little willingness and expand it with Love.  And nothing is ever the same again.

We will be led from reading to reading, from insight to insight, from experience to experience—when we open our heart to receive.  Blessings will rain down upon our head.  We will know truths that we seemed to have no way of knowing, no rational way.  If we open our intuition, we will be led, ever so gently, to what we need to know to live a good life.

So:  Ask, seek, knock.  And be assured that what we are wanting will be opened to us.

  1. Yes, yes, yes! I am seeking! I am knocking! Most people misinterpret this as meaning to seek Christ. But it actually pertains to seeking all things and expecting to receive that we want.
