“The circumstances of my life are too closely related to my conception of myself not to have been launched by my own spirit from some magical storehouse of my being. If there is pain to me in these happenings, I should look within myself for the cause, for I am moved here and there and made to live in a world in harmony with my concept of myself.” The Power of Imagination: the Neville Goddard Treasury, “The Search.”
What does this mean? We know that we are One with God, and so it is certain that the “magical storehouse of [our] being” is our joining with God to create the circumstances of our lives.
It is a new idea to the law of attraction that the “concept” of ourselves could make such a difference in what we are encouraged to manifest. But does this not make sense?
We can only manifest those things that are in concert with ourselves, that seem possible of achievement. And if our concept of ourselves is at variance with what we are wanting, we will not succeed.
Go within to heal the broken areas of our mind and heart. Then, as we transform within, our attempts to actualize in our outer environment will bear more fruit.
